A friend of mine (from an Asian country) told me this story about her anniversary gift: Our anniversary has passed. And we celebrated it as usual. However, there are two calendar systems in our country: the Gregorian and the lunar. The lunar is the common one. The Gregorian calendar is only occasionally used, especially for international business. So, people here celebrate birthdays, anniversaries... etc. according to the lunar calendar. After our anniversary (the lunar one) my lovely husband wanted to surprise me with another anniversary gift, this time according to the Gregorian calendar. While I was out, he bought a nice red bouquet of flowers. Do you know where he hid it? Behind the bathroom door! I came home, and headed to the bathroom to take a shower, as usual. And I saw it! He then came and asked me, "Do you know what this is for?" I thought for a while. I didn't think of our anniversary because we celebrated it a few weeks earlier. So I said, "No." He said, "It's for our anniversary Honey, the Gregorian one."
